    Deutsche Bank: Humanoids

    Market Growth Forecast

    > Rapid Expansion: The global humanoid robot market is projected to see significant growth, moving from approximately 3,030 units in 2024 to an estimated 700,500 units by 2030.

    > Long-Term Outlook: Looking further ahead, the forecast anticipates the market scaling to 70 million units by 2050.

    > Market Value: The market value is also expected to climb sharply, reaching $1,050,000 million (or $1.05 trillion) by 2050.

    Regional Dominance

    > China's Lead: China is currently the primary driver of the market, accounting for 85% of global shipments in 2024. While this percentage is forecast to decrease as other markets mature, China is still expected to remain a dominant player, holding 43% of the market share by 2050.

    > United States: The U.S. share is projected to grow from 12% in 2024 to 43% by 2050, effectively matching China's share by the end of the forecast period.

    > Other Regions: Europe, Japan, and other regions are expected to grow from a small 3% share in 2024 to 14% of the global market by 2050.

    Key Industry Players

    > United States: Major players include Tesla, Figure, Agility, Boston Dynamics, and 1X. Tesla is forecasted to be a significant contributor, growing from 100 units in 2024 to 150,000 units by 2030.

    > China: Prominent companies include Unitree, AGIBOT, UBTECH, Leju Robotics, Booster Robotics, and Galbot. Unitree is projected to reach 100,000 units by 2030.

Mitsubishi Motors joins robotics race to deploy humanoid workers by 2027.

Pairing with Highlanders, a Japanese robotics company.

    - Agility $Churchill Capital XI(CCXI.US) x Foxconn, Toyota

    - Apptronik x $Jabil(JBL.US), Mercedes

    - Highlanders x Mitsubishi

    - Figure × BMW

    - Boston Dynamics x Hyundai (subsidiaries)

    - Optimus x Tesla (Internal)

    - Rainbow Robotics x Samsung (subsidiaries)

Idk if it's just me of there's a lot of patterns with humanoid companies playing buddy-buddy up with a major auto player/manufacturer.

If they're not already vertically integrated by one already.

Then the Chinese players like UBTech/AgiBot/Unitree don't seem to care and work with a wide variety of auto players in China.

Curious how this trend plays out...

Came across an interesting report from SVRC Research called "State of Robotics 2026", published in April.

    Which listed:

    1. Figure AI

    2. Agility Robotics $Churchill Capital XI(CCXI.US)

    3. Apptronik

    4. $Tesla(TSLA.US)

    5. Boston Dynamics

    6. Physical Intelligence

    7. 1X Technologies

    8. $Amazon(AMZN.US) Robotics

    9. Covariant

    10. Skild AI

As the National Champions of the United States robotics program.

"The United States leads the world in where robotics is heading: Fundation models, OpenAI-style scaling laws applied to action, autonomous vehicles.

While losing the race on where robotics is shipping today."

    Then it frames:

    1. Rare Earths Exposure: from Neodymium for motors to samarium-cobalt for high-temp applications as a critical vulnerability.

    2. Actuator dependency. Series elastic actuators, quasi-direct-drive motors, and precision reducers overwhelmingly sourced from Japan, Germany, and China

As one of the main vulnerabilities alongside Manufacturing velocity/data collection cost/regulations. Then their take was:

"With at least six well-funded US humanoid companies competing for a market still in early formation, we expect at least two significant consolidation events (acquisition or merger) in 2027".

With Logistics / E-commerce (like $Amazon(AMZN.US) / $FedEx(FDX.US)) and Automotive from $General Motors(GM.US) to $Forward Industries(FORD.US) as being the immediate top use cases for deployment.

I think it's just interesting to see a lot of my points I've been talking about reiterated by research firms. Regardless, I do think it's going to be a major frontier race between the US and China.

Agility Robotics (which I own), Tesla, Figure, and Apptronik as leaders representing the USA. Competing against Unitree, AGIbot, Ubtech, and others in China.

Powell may not have an FOMC talk, but his recent QnA at a University sparks interests and influenced the market. A simple comment that inflation outlook in check and there's no need to hike rates due to oil shock has the market reacting positively. Let's see how the situation pans out in the next few weeks

Fed is in a dilemma. On one hand, he is cautious of rising inflation due to wars & tariff, on the other hand, he is watching unemployment rate in the labor market. Do nothing is the best current strategy for the Fed, till events becomes clearer. Singapore is pivoting to partner other trading blocks to increase trade export to like minded countries. And fast adoption of AI to enhance productivity to address rising cost of doing business here. Is all hands on deck. Singapore has to be ahead of the curve due to fast changing political and economical landscape changes to keep growth on track.

Fed’s dovish is shifting short term sentiment, creating a tactical risk on window. Not a full pivot yet,so stay long quality growth but keep macro hedges in place

Tesla TERAFAB – Moving into ultra scale compute fits the AI capex boom, where global demand is surging. For now, it’s a high beta narrative play, with execution risk still the main swing factor.

Singapore retains solid growth supported by strong manufacturing and AI driven exports, showing underlying resilience despite external risks.

Musk is again promising the sun and moon; selling a dream, forever over promising and shifting goal posts. With the geopolitical event causing headache and pocket-aches to investors, I don't think anyone would be in the mood to be an all-in bull right now...

As the war continues, oil will be in short supply and cause Singapore to suffer. Yes we do have 6 months of reserve. But one that used up, we are in the same situation as other South East Asia counties... So be worried peeps!
