back to $75 on crude will likely get us back to $16 on AAL and if we can get under $70 then the $18s are in play

realistically, most of the airlines/cruiselines should benefit when oil goes down

simple logic for oil going down?

well, it’s down 3% today on the hint of cooperation from the Iranians with the Pakistani intermediaries

if we actually get some meaningful updates on a deal (bond market is screaming to make some progress here) then most oil sensitive names should react

all depends on when this war comes to an end or seems like it is ready to come to an end

Spirit, $SPIRIT AIRLINES INC(SAVEQ.US)has been in the doldrum and even announcing bankruptcy in 2024 and 2025 but managed to get chance to restructure it's debt in early 2026 to avoid bankruptcy. The Iran war nail it's fate and this time, Spirit is winding down for sure. Meantime, $American Airlines(AAL.US)AAL should be able to profit from Spirit's misfortune by snatching it's customer. Upside for AAL.

A sudden turn of event make American Airline share price higher, United Airline propose to merge with American Airline but the proposal was short live and was shot down by American Airline. The propose merger has already raised a lot of scrutiny since it will reduce competition. Trump might be pro business but this merger might create a monopoly and this will affect his popularity and he will reject it.
