Nvidia may have run its course, the ai bubble can't continue indefinitely

With such high valuations, Nvidia is massively overpriced and when the music stops , we should see huge corrections on the stock price. Not a buy or sell call, just being realistic in this overly hype up market.

I think Nvidia might remain relatively flat post earnings. Historical data don't lie: majority of the times Nvidia report earnings, people tend to take profit regardless of how spectacular the report is. It has come to the point where Nvidia is the one of the major factors that dictate the direction of the AI and chip companies, but also expectations have risen so high for them that beating earnings "should be" a normalcy. Guidance will be another thing to watch out for most investors. Regardless of how the stock performs post earnings, I still believe Nvidia is undervalued based on the favourable forward p/e ratio. Unless a major miss would to happen, I will remain my current position before reviewing the upcoming earnings data.

In the near term, things look uncertain as it is not clear if Fed will still hike interest rates this year. The US Treasury’s buy back of bonds is an attempt to bring down the yields but some believe this to have a transient effect. If interest rates are expected to decrease, it is good for NVDA.

I would say the stock price might drop around -2%, since most of the Ai related share drops when they release their earning report. Most of the retail investors are driven by emotions, whenever the earnings aren't super over expectations, people gonna think its an Ai bubble. But for the long term I would say that Nvidia definitely is a good business that we need everyday

NVIDIA's recent consecutive drops are indeed nerve-wracking; with such a high market cap and AI expectations weighing on it, the upcoming earnings report is critical. I'm betting on a 2%-7% rise given the high expectations; as long as there are no surprises, the rebound could be significant. Hopefully, it won't disappoint everyone 😅

Voted -2 to +2% because although I see a lot of potential from Nvidia, current market sentiments and political policies may slow investor confidence.

I voted for the -2% to +2% range for NVDA on August 27.

Expectations are already extremely high going into this earnings report, so even another strong beat may not automatically lead to a big move higher. At the same time, AI and data-center demand remain strong enough to provide support if the results are solid.

I think the initial reaction could be volatile, but buyers and profit-taking may eventually balance each other out. That’s why my base case is for NVDA to finish the day roughly flat, within -2% to +2%.

My NVDA closing price prediction for August 27 is $225.80. I expect strong AI demand and solid data-center growth to support the stock after earnings, while high expectations may limit the upside.

recently the price always dropped after earnings release. The expectation is too high. everyone is taking high profit and margin for granted.

Context: Semiconductor stocks have experienced alot of volatility recently due to concerns on AI capex spending, causing SOXX to pull back towards level as low as 464

My trade: I decided to start a position during the recent pullback. I prefer holding SOXX over individual chip stocks because it gives broad exposure and diversification to semiconductor leaders like Nvidia, Broadcom, and AMD while reducing single stock concentration risk.

Takeaway: For volatile stocks or ETF, I will scale into my entry using smaller DCA tranches to handle short-term price swings and get better entries.

I think Nvidia is attractive at 200, but despite the losing streak, we still haven't got there. It's beta is relatively low for a stock that has already been up by so much in a short time.
