The founder of Singapore real estate developer Ho Bee Land, Chai Tianbao, received a salary of SGD 3.14 million for the fiscal year 2025, an increase of 18.7% compared to last year. His son, Chai Weicheng, earned SGD 2.26 million, a growth of 14.8%. Despite the salary increase, it remains far below the peak in 2016. The company's annual report shows that Chai Tianbao announced a succession plan in 2018, and Chai Weicheng was promoted to president in 2021. Additionally, two independent non-executive directors will step down after the annual general meeting. The decline was attributed to the deconsolidation of Elementum, decreased rental income, and lower property settlements. The board recommended a final dividend of S$0.05 per share, up from S$0.04. Cash reserves increased to S$228.7 million. The company plans to enhance its development pipeline and undertake major works at its London properties. Shares rose 0.8% to S$2.50.

Ho Bee Land posts 50% fall in H2 net profit to S$50.4 million

On January 29, Sembcorp Industries announced its subsidiary will supply Micron with an additional 150 megawatts of power for a new plant, while also benefiting from a potential drop in LNG prices. Mapletree Industrial Trust reported a 7% decline in distribution per unit and an 8% drop in Q3 revenue. Ho Bee Land promoted Li Xiangrun to CFO effective February 1. Sembcorp shares fell 0.2% to S$5.92, MIT units remained flat at S$2.11, and Ho Bee Land shares dropped 0.4% to S$2.48.
