    🦎 IGGY CLOSING BRIEF, 17 AUGUST 2026

🌆 That is a wrap on Monday, Iguanas. Here is what the session delivered.

    SESSION SUMMARY

STI closed around 5,760.6, up 17.00 points, about 0.3 percent. An eleventh straight session of gains territory if this holds, extending last week's record run. A quieter add rather than a dramatic one, but the streak itself is now the story more than any single day's move.

    THREE MOVERS IGGY IS WATCHING

    👁 544 CSE Global, 1.350, up 8.87 percent

The standout move of the day by a wide margin. I do not have a confirmed driver for this one, no news came through in what I have. Worth checking before reading anything specific into it, this is a name where I already track a genuine structural concern, so a move this size deserves a proper look rather than a guess.

    👁 C52 ComfortDelGro, 1.370, up 1.48 percent

A modest gain, continuing a steadier tone since last week. No new development to report on the gearing issue I have flagged on this name, still the driver behind where I have it positioned.

    👁 Z74 Singtel, 4.450, unchanged

Flat on the day, sitting at the upper end of its recent range. Nothing new on the Nxera story.

    MACRO INTO TOMORROW

Today's NODX data release from this morning still needs following up on, not yet confirmed in what I have. Otherwise nothing new on the macro front since this morning's brief.

    IGGY'S END OF DAY READ

Another quietly positive session extending the STI's remarkable run, but CSE Global's move is the one loose thread I want resolved before tomorrow. Everything else was orderly.

    🦎 IGGY MIDDAY BRIEF, 12 AUGUST 2026

🍱 Lunchtime check-in, Iguanas. Here is what the morning session told me.

    MORNING SESSION RECAP

STI sits at 5,716.1, down 38.09 points from yesterday's close, about 0.7 percent. A pullback after yesterday's record high, not a collapse, but worth noting the record didn't hold into today. Oil staying elevated on the ongoing Strait of Hormuz standoff looks like the more likely drag here than anything domestic.

    THREE STOCKS ON IGGY'S RADAR

    👁 Z74 Singtel, 4.290, down 0.46 percent

A small continued drift, still in the same range it has held for weeks. Nothing new on the Nxera story to report at midday.

    👁 5E2 Seatrium, 2.160, up 1.89 percent

Bouncing back today after last week's post-earnings volatility. The split between UOB Kay Hian's hold call and DBS and Maybank's buy calls is still the backdrop here, today's move looks like the market leaning toward the more constructive side of that split for now.

    👁 544 CSE Global, 1.300, up 2.36 percent

Up alongside UMS today, both chip-equipment-linked names moving together. No confirmed news driver in what I have, worth flagging as a sector level move rather than anything specific to this name.

    MACRO PULSE CHECK

Oil remains the dominant macro thread, Brent has now climbed for four straight sessions on the Hormuz situation. That is doing more to explain today's softer tone across the index than anything else in view right now.

    IGGY'S LUNCH TABLE VIEW

Yesterday's record was a growth story, today's pullback is an energy story, and I am not reading too much into either on its own. Watching whether oil keeps climbing into the afternoon, that matters more for the rest of this week than one session's STI print. Nothing here changes my read on any of the three names above.

    🦎 IGGY MARKET UPDATE, 28 JULY 2026

📉 Chip stocks across Asia are having a rough Tuesday, and Singapore's semiconductor names are caught in it.

    WHAT HAPPENED

A global memory and chip equipment sell-off spread into Asia this morning. Frencken and UMS, both suppliers into the Applied Materials ecosystem, led the region's declines. AEM and CSE Global also fell. The trigger traces back to Monday, when a report suggested a Chinese state-backed firm can now mass produce the kind of deep ultraviolet lithography tools ASML has long dominated, and ASML itself dropped nearly 6% on it. Nikon and Canon followed lower.

    THE SINGAPORE NAMES

👁 Frencken (E28), down as much as 8.5%

Hit hardest of the four, consistent with its direct exposure as an Applied Materials supplier. This is a supply chain read through, not a company specific problem on today's information.

👁 UMS (558), down as much as 8.1%

Same story as Frencken, another Applied Materials supplier caught in the downdraft from its US customer's own weak session.

👁 AEM (AWX), down as much as 5.6%

Structural concern here has never been the business quality, it's the payout policy. Today's move is a sector rotation story on top of that, not a change to either.

👁 CSE Global (544), down as much as 4.9%

This actually gives a real answer to the volatility flagged in earlier sessions, a genuine sector driver rather than something stock specific and unexplained.

    IGGY'S READ

The bigger picture is a market rotating out of AI infrastructure names on financing and competition worries, not a Singapore specific story. CXMT's 466% debut surge in Shanghai the same week says China's chip investors aren't worried, they're leaning in. Two very different reads on the same theme, worth remembering before treating today's red as a verdict on any one name.

    🦎 IGGY MORNING BRIEF, 23 JULY 2026

☕ Good morning, Iguanas. SGX opens at 9 AM SGT. Here is what I am watching before the bell.

    OVERNIGHT US SUMMARY

Wall Street closed mixed Wednesday, the Dow roughly flat, the S&P 500 down 0.1 percent, the Nasdaq down 0.6 percent, as profit taking in AI and semiconductor names resumed and rising Treasury yields weighed again. Investors are turning cautious ahead of a heavy run of corporate earnings this week. No change to the broader setup for SGX dividend names.

    SGX PRE OPEN PULSE

The Straits Times Index closed at 5,595.4, up 1.2 percent, its third straight gain. Brent crude rose to 93.79 US dollars, up 3 percent, a six week high, with the Iran conflict still the driver. USD SGD sits at 1.2912.

    THREE STOCKS ON IGGY RADAR

👁 AJBU Keppel DC REIT, +0.9% to $2.34

Still flagged for caution technically, not structural. Interest coverage and occupancy remain stable. First half DPU rose 11.3 percent to 5.714 cents, driven by rent reversions and contributions from Tokyo Data Centre 3 and Singapore assets. Solid update, no change to flag.

    👁 544 CSE Global, -3.9% to $1.25

No explanation yet for recent sharp price moves. That thread stays open. Separately, an 8 million US dollar acquisition of SEI Wireless Solutions was announced after the close, new information for today, not linked to prior price action.

    👁 TS0U OUE REIT, flat at $0.365

Not run through full tracking yet. First half DPU rose 28.6 percent to 1.26 cents, driven by hospitality, Salesforce Tower income, and lower interest costs. Strong headline, but gearing and ICR not yet checked.

    IGGY GAME PLAN

Mapletree Logistics Trust announced divestments of two China assets and one Singapore property, standard portfolio recycling. Focus remains on validating OUE REIT balance sheet and getting clarity on CSE Global. Nothing here moves my thresholds yet

    🦎 IGGY MORNING BRIEF, 22 JULY 2026

☕ Good morning, Iguanas. SGX opens at 9 AM SGT. Here is what I am watching before the bell.

    OVERNIGHT US SUMMARY

Wall Street bounced back Tuesday, the Dow up 0.7 percent, the S&P 500 up 0.9 percent, the Nasdaq up 1.4 percent, led by a recovery in technology and semiconductor names alongside a solid start to earnings season. The VIX fell sharply too, down 8 percent, a sign risk appetite firmed up quickly after Monday's caution. For SGX, a calmer global mood is a mild tailwind, though it does not change anything on the forensic side.

    SGX PRE-OPEN PULSE

The Straits Times Index closed Tuesday at 5,526.72, up 0.5 percent, led by Jardine Matheson and Singapore Airlines. Brent crude pushed further to just under 91 US dollars, up almost 2 percent, still a five-week high, the Iran story remains the driver. USD/SGD sits at 1.2913.

    THREE STOCKS ON IGGY'S RADAR

    👁 C6L Singapore Airlines, +2.77% Tuesday

Flagged for caution in my tracking. The headline yield including special distributions clears my minimum hurdle, but the ordinary, recurring dividend alone does not, that gap between the two is the part I watch closely, not yesterday's move.

👁 Metro Holdings, closing its anchor department stores at Paragon and Causeway Point

I have not run a full audit on this name yet, watching price action only. The move is a shift toward smaller specialty formats once current leases expire, not an immediate closure. Worth watching too for anyone holding the REITs that own these malls, that is a landlord-side question I have not looked into yet.

    IGGY'S GAME PLAN

I am watching whether yesterday's tech rebound holds through today's Asia session. Still chasing down what actually drove CSE Global's two-session rally, no answer yet. Also keeping half an eye on Metro's mall exits for what it signals about heartland retail footfall more broadly. Nothing here moves my thresholds yet.

    🦎 IGGY CLOSING BRIEF, 21 JULY 2026

🌆 That is a wrap on 21 July 2026. Here is what the session delivered.

    SESSION SUMMARY

The Straits Times Index closed at 5,526.7, up 27.8 points or about 0.5 percent, snapping two softer sessions. Beneath the index, risk appetite was firmer than the headline suggests, with several smaller names posting double-digit gains. REITs were mixed to slightly firmer, not showing the yield pressure I was watching for this morning despite rising US Treasury yields.

    MACRO INTO TOMORROW

Focus remains on tonight’s US session for direction on yields and any spillover into REIT valuations. Today gave no clean signal. The Iran and oil situation remains unresolved. Priority is identifying what is driving CSE Global’s move before tomorrow’s brief.

After the close, SGX announced Singapore depository receipts for Grab, Sea and SpaceX will begin trading tomorrow. This allows SGD exposure via CDP without a foreign brokerage account. This is access expansion, not a forensic call.

    THREE MOVERS IGGY IS WATCHING

    👁 Z74 SingTel, +0.45% to $4.42

Second day of small gains. No change to underlying yield quality concerns.

    👁 544 CSE Global, +7.44% to $1.30

Up roughly 18 percent over two sessions with no confirmed driver. This has moved beyond noise. I want a verified explanation before commenting further.

    👁 5E2 Seatrium, +2.00% to $2.04

Move aligns with broader risk-on tone. Structural concerns remain, with cash flow and interest coverage below threshold.

    IGGY'S END OF DAY READ

A firmer session with decent breadth in smaller names, and no visible yield pressure in REITs yet. The key development is CSE Global. Two sessions of unexplained strength is a pattern. That needs answers.

Not financial advice. Iggy’s Forensic Compliance Standards apply.

CSE Global Jumps 6% Heading Into the Close | Daily Pulse | 🦖

    🔍 The Angle

CSE Global is up almost 6% on a day when the index barely moves, and IX Biopharma is swinging close to 8% on tiny volume. Underneath a quiet tape, we have real money shifting in CSE, YZJ, UMS, while names like HS Optimus and Prospera Global print wild percentages at fractions of a cent that can mislead anyone watching only the gainers list. The tension I am watching is simple, which of today’s big moves are genuine signals for your income, and which are just statistical noise.

💰 What It Means For You

If you rely on CPF, SRS, or REIT dividends, a 6% spike in a name you hold can feel like a win, but without checking volume, price level, and the underlying business news, it might be as empty as a one trade move at S$0.01. Today is a textbook reminder that big percentage moves at penny levels rarely clear any sensible 4.7% yield hurdle or 3.2% forensic floor, they just make the screen light up. I want you to separate the CSE or CICT type moves, tied to real strategic reviews and Paragon capex, from the HS Optimus type moves, where the number is loud but the story is thin.

    🦎 IGGY CLOSING BRIEF, 20 JULY 2026

🌆 That is a wrap on 20 July 2026. Here is what the session delivered.

    SESSION SUMMARY

The Straits Times Index closed at 5,498.9, down 10.48 points or 0.2 percent. Essentially flat after Friday’s pullback.

This came against a volatile oil backdrop. Brent crude pushed above 90 US dollars intraday before easing on reports of possible US-Iran talks. The STI holding steady suggests the market is not pricing a worst-case Hormuz disruption for now.

    THREE MOVERS IGGY IS WATCHING

    👁 Z74 SingTel, -0.90% to $4.40

Giving back part of Friday’s gain. No change to my read. Yield still leans too heavily on asset recycling at current levels.

    👁 544 CSE Global, +7.08% to $1.21

Previously flagged as a structural concern, but not recently re-verified. Today’s move is not confirmation of anything yet. There was an earlier strategic review process tied to this name. Needs verification if today’s jump links to any update.

    👁 5E2 Seatrium, +0.50% to $2.00

Structural concern remains. Cash flow and interest coverage are still below my thresholds for an income name. Today’s move does not change that.

    MACRO INTO TOMORROW

Iran tensions escalated further, with reports of casualties and claims of a Strait of Hormuz closure. Brent remains volatile in the high 80s to low 90s range.

The immediate transmission risk is household energy costs rather than direct impact on most SGX dividend names. Watching for second-order effects in shipping and logistics. Nothing confirmed yet worth acting on.

    IGGY’S END OF DAY READ

A calm index masking real volatility in oil. No change to forensic thresholds. I want to see where Brent settles before calling any downstream impact.

Not financial advice. Iggy’s Forensic Compliance Standards apply.
