Japanese suppliers of E-Glass will stop taking orders at end-March and the shortage is expected to last until the 4th quarter this year, media report, as they shift to making high-margin T-Glass and Low-Dk materials instead. Panasonic notified clients that fiberglass cloth suppliers (Nittobo, Asahai Kasei, AST) have stopped production of E-glass materials, therefore CCL and Prepreg products that use E-Glass have to put in final orders by March 31, with final deliveries Oct. 31.
