I think Apple has a good chance to surprise this earnings season. Expectations aren’t as high as before, so even a decent beat with positive comments on AI, Services, or iPhone demand could push the stock higher. If management gives investors more confidence, sentiment can improve quickly.
On the other hand, I’m slightly cautious on Meta. The business is still very strong, but the stock has already had an incredible run and expectations are extremely high. When a stock is priced close to perfection, even good earnings may not be enough if guidance or capital expenditure disappoints. I wouldn’t be surprised to see some profit-taking after the report.
My take: Apple has more room to surprise, while Meta has more room to disappoint. @Captain's Watch
