ICBC (Asia) FPS Deposit Guidelines

What is FPS?

FPS is a fast payment system fully connected to banks launched by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority on September 30, 2018. Features are as follows:

  • Instant inter-bank transfer
  • Free of charge
  • 365x24x7 transfer service
  • Fast payment via FPS identification code
  • Customers do not need to register with a mobile phone number or email address to transfer funds

How to use FPS to deposit?

FPS Receiving Account

On the Longbridge FPS deposit page, copy the Longbridge FPS ID

ICBC (Asia) App

1. Open the ICBC (Asia) App and click "All"-"Payment"-"e-second Transfer-FPS"-"Payment" to transfer.

2. Fill in the transfer deduction account and transfer amount.

3. Confirm the transfer information.

4. Enter the number in your cipher to complete the transfer.

Internet Banking

1. Visit Internet Banking, click "Account Services"-"Transfer and Remittance"-"Local Transfer", fill in the transfer information and submit the transfer.

2. Confirm the transfer information and enter the number in your cipher to complete the transfer.

Upload the FPS remittance voucher on the Longbridge App

Fill in the remittance bank information in the Longbridge APP

Open the App and enter the [Assets - Deposit] module. Select the deposit currency as HKD, the deposit method as FPS deposit, and fill in the remittance bank information.

Notice:

1) Long Bridge Securities only supports FPS deposits in Hong Kong dollars. When filling in the bank card number, pay attention to the last number of the card number. The ICBC (Asia) integrated accounts services can manage several sub-accounts under a single account number. The last digit of the account number represents for different sub-accounts.

At present, Long Bridge HK Limited does not support comprehensive accounts ending with 0 (usually ending with 0), and only supports the binding of sub-currency accounts, as follows:

“1” represents HKD Current Account

“2” represents HKD Statement Savings Account

“3” represents Multi-currency Statement Savings Account

“4” represents Time Deposit Account

“5” represents USD Current Account

“6” represents RMB Current Account (only suitable for opened RMB sub-account service in Hong Kong)

“7” represents RMB Statement Savings Account (only suitable for opened RMB sub-account service in Hong Kong)

(Above applicable for Integrated Account, “e-Age Banking” Account, Elite Club Account)

2) After filling in the card number, please pay attention to filling in the bank account type. If you make a deposit in Hong Kong dollars, fill in the bank account type as a Hong Kong dollar account; if you make a deposit in US dollars, fill in the bank account type as a US dollar account, otherwise it will affect your subsequent withdrawals.

Select FPS and upload the remittance transfer voucher, otherwise it will affect the progress of the deposit.

Deposit time and cost

Trading session is expected within two hours of funds credited into account, other times is expected to take one business day.

Deposit transfer fee

Most banks and stored-value payment instruments do not charge fees at this stage, but there is no guarantee that some institutions will charge them, nor that there may be different charging arrangements in the future. Please consult your bank for details. Longbridge Securities does not charge fees.

Transfer limit

Currently, Long Bridge does not have any limit for FPS deposits, but please pay attention to whether there is a transfer limit on the bank side.

Tips

  1. Currently, Longbridge only supports FPS deposits in HKD.
  2. Long Bridge HK Limited cannot accept incoming funds from third party, and can only accept funds originating from a bank account held in the same name registered with us. Otherwise, the cost of refund will be borne by the customer.
  3. After the customer completes the transfer, the FPS system will instantly transfer the funds to the Longbridge receiving bank. Manual approval is required before the funds can be deposited into the customer's Longbridge account。
  4. It takes a certain amount of time for the bank back office to process the remittance application. The bank has remitted it does not mean that Longbridge has received the money. Banks and Longbridge do not handle remittances during Hong Kong holidays, please plan the remittance processing time in advance
  5. Long Bridge HK Limited does not accept direct cash deposits at this moment.
