Generally speaking, the smaller the Put/Call ratio, the more investors trade or hold call options, indicating their tendency to be bullish. The larger the Put/Call ratio, the more investors trade or hold put options, indicating their tendency to be bearish. In practical applications, the Put/Call ratio is best analyzed in conjunction with the total trading volume/total position data.
