What is the settlement cycle for crypto trades?
Crypto trades on Bakkt settle in real-time.
Sale proceeds from your crypto sale are immediately added to your buying power (available to your Bakkt crypto account and your Longbridge Securities LLC brokerage account). However, they are not available for withdrawal until they are reflected in the Cash Available to Withdraw balance in your brokerage account on T+1 of each business day morning. Crypto trades executed before 8:15PM ET (approximately) each business day are considered trade date (T).
Is short selling of crypto supported?
No, Bakkt does not support short selling or margin trading for cryptocurrencies.
