How to trade crypto in your Bakkt crypto account via the Longbridge Platform?
Go to the crypto quote page under Markets > Crypto and tap the desired asset. Tap Trade to open the crypto order entry page.
Enter the required order information, including the order type, price, and quantity. The number of decimal places permitted for quantity and price varies by cryptocurrency. Crypto limit orders are Good ‘Til Canceled (GTC) and remain open for up to 90 days unless filled or canceled earlier.
To request cancellation of a pending order, go to Portfolio, tap Orders, select the pending crypto order, and tap Cancel order.
What are the trading hours for crypto?
Crypto trading is generally available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, but may be temporarily unavailable during system maintenance. Specifically:
- Monthly maintenance window: First Tuesday of every month between the hours of 02:00AM – 05:00AM ET. (This maintenance may not occur every month. If maintenance is scheduled, a notification will be provided through the Longbridge Platform.)
What order types are available for crypto trading?
Market Order:
A market order executes at the best available price at the time of execution, which may differ from the quoted price.
Limit Order:
Orders are only executed when the market reaches the specified price or better. (Limit orders are good for up to 90 days).
What are the trading limits on Bakkt?
Minimum order amount: $1.00
Maximum per order (buy or sell): $100,000
Maximum total of pending orders (both buy and sell orders combined): $200,000
Order quantities may be entered up to 8 decimal places, depending on the cryptocurrency.
How much does Bakkt charge to trade crypto?
When you submit an order to buy or sell cryptocurrency on your Bakkt crypto account via the Longbridge platform, that order is sent to Bakkt for execution.
Bakkt charges a 0.75% trading fee based on the dollar value of per trade executed.
Is short selling of crypto supported?
No. Short selling and margin trading are not available for cryptocurrency trades.
