U.S. Stock Market Trading Hours
- Regular Trading Hours: 9:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. ET
U.S. Stock Trading and Settlement
Day trading refers to buying and selling the same security within a single trading day.
- Under FINRA Rule 4210, Longbridge applies the intraday margin requirements that became effective June 4, 2026. The former Pattern Day Trader (PDT) designation and associated $25,000 minimum equity requirement no longer apply. Margin accounts remain subject to applicable intraday margin requirements and account restrictions.
For margin accounts, day trading buying power is determined by your Intraday Margin Buying Power (IMBP) at the start of the day.
- Exceeding your IMBP may trigger an Intraday Margin Call (IM Call). You must resolve the call by depositing funds or reducing eligible positions held prior to the trade that triggered the call. The option to resolve an IM Call by reducing positions may be used up to three times within a rolling 12-month period. If the call is not resolved by the applicable deadline, your account may be restricted to close-only for 90 days.
Trade Settlement
U.S. stock trades generally settle on a T+1 basis, meaning settlement occurs one business day after the trade date.
Minimum Trading Requirements
- Longbridge supports stock purchases with a minimum order value of $5.00
- Sell orders that would leave a remaining position with a market value below $5.00 will be rejected. To reduce a position below this threshold, you must submit an order to sell the entire remaining position.

- Volatility: Prices can move sharply in response to news and events released outside regular market hours.
- Order Types: Only limit orders are accepted during overnight sessions.
