How to Link a Bank Account

You can add a bank account from the Transfer page:

  1. Open the app and tap Transfer from the home screen.
  2. On the Transfer page, tap Add to add an account under linked accounts.
  3. Choose a connection type: ACH or Wire.

Option A — Linking via ACH

ACH allows you to connect a personal checking or savings account, verified either instantly or through a small test deposit.

Best Practice
Use a personal checking account for the smoothest experience. Credit cards, prepaid cards, and services like PayPal are not supported.

Choose your verification method:

Real-time verification (Real time verification is available if your bank is supported on Plaid)

  • Tap Real-time verification to open the secure Plaid portal.
  • Enter your mobile number and the SMS verification code you receive.
  • Select your bank, log in with your online banking credentials, and choose the account to link.
  • Once confirmed, Plaid closes automatically and your account is linked instantly.

Micro-deposit verification (takes 1–2 business days)

  • Tap Micro-deposit verification.
  • Fill in your bank details: bank name, ABA routing number (9 digits), account type (checking or savings), account number, and an optional nickname.
  • Tap Next. Longbridge will send two small deposits (each under $1) to your bank account.
  • Once the deposits arrive, return to the Transfer page and tap the pending verification.
  • Enter both deposit amounts in the order they were received, and tap Next to complete verification.
Note
You can link up to 3 ACH bank accounts. If you have reached this limit, remove an existing account before adding a new one.

Option B — Linking via Wire

Wire accounts do not require verification. Fill in your bank details and tap Add account to save.

You are responsible for confirming that your bank account details are correct and that your external bank account is eligible to receive wire transfers. Wires may not be able to be cancelled or reversed once initiated.

Required fields:

  • Bank name
  • ABA routing number (US banks)
  • Province / State, City, Postal code
  • Account number
  • Account owner (pre-filled from your Longbridge profile — cannot be changed)
  • Account nickname (optional)
Important
Longbridge does not support third-party transfers. The account owner name must exactly match the name on your Longbridge account.

Reordering Your Linked Accounts

The order of your linked accounts determines which account appears as the default when you deposit or withdraw.

  1. On the Transfer page, find the Linked accounts section.
  2. Long-press the drag handle (⠿ ) on the right side of any account.
  3. Drag it to your preferred position and release.
Note
Newly linked accounts are added to the bottom of the list by default.

How to Remove a Bank Account

  1. On the Transfer page, tap the bank account you want to remove.
  2. On the account detail page, tap Remove at the bottom.
  3. Tap Remove again in the confirmation pop-up. The account will be unlinked immediately.
Note
ACH accounts can be removed but not edited. To update a wire account's details, tap Edit on the account detail page.

FAQs

Q1: Why can’t I add a fourth ACH account?

Longbridge supports a maximum of 3 linked ACH accounts. Please remove an existing ACH account first, and then try adding the new one.

Q2: My micro-deposit verification has expired. What should I do?

Verification must be completed within 10 days of the deposits being sent. If your verification has expired, tap OK on the error message to request a new pair of deposits and restart the process.

Q3: I entered the micro-deposit amounts wrong. How many attempts do I have?

You have 3 attempts. After 3 failed tries, Longbridge will automatically send two new deposits and reset the verification. If the re-send limit is exceeded, you will need to restart the entire verification process.
